What is Body Balancing?

Every day you experience stresses and strains that your body absorbs ~ but after a while this tension can cause the tissues of the body to tighten and become imbalanced. This can compromise not only your musculoskeletal system, but your central nervous system as well.

  • CranioSacral Therapy

  • Physical Therapy

  • Fascial Mobilization

  • Cupping Therapy

  • Reiki

  • Yoga/ Ayurveda

  • Sound Therapy

  • Meditation/ Breath-work/ Guided Relaxation

  • Personalized Exercise Program

  • SomatoEmotional Release

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body . Light touch allows the smooth and skeletal muscles to relax enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct. This relaxation response is deeply nourishing to the central nervous system as well, helping to normalized the environment around the brain and spinal cord. By freeing the central nervous system to perform at its best, CST may be valuable in helping :

  • Ease chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain

  • Relieve headaches and migraines

  • Encourage the body’s self-correcting abilities

  • Enhance immune system efficiency

  • Deeply nourish the nervous system to help reduce feelings of anxiety and depression.

Sound Therapy

Applying vibration using tuning forks and sound has been utilized in Eastern cultures for thousands of years to help remove blockages in the body’s energetic pathways, reduce pain and inflammation, promote healing of muscles, tendons and ligaments, and balance vital energy centers or Chakras. Today institutes such as M.I.T and Columbia are researching how sound therapy can help patients with Alzheimers and other health challenges.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine that rapidly increases circulation to an area, bringing nourishment and flushing away waste products. Cupping is performed by placing special cups on your skin and leaving them on for several minutes to create suction. Cupping can reduce pain and inflammation, enhance blood flow and lymphatic drainage while improving fascial mobility and range of motion.

SomatoEmotional Release

SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a therapeutic process based on the concept that physical forces going into a body are dealt with in one of two ways:

  1. The injuried body may immediately dissipate or release these forces and the natural healing process will follow.

  2. The forces may be held in the body rather than released. The second can become an area of chronic pain or dysfunction. SER facilitates a gentle process for releasing this tissue memory and helping the body move towards wellness and optimal function.
